Readme file for Template : course1 In order to setup a course web page, you will need the following items: Web space: To publish your course web page, you can: 1.-Request a new user account for their class or 2.-Put the class account under their own Web pages 3.-Then send to msheldon@eecs.wsu.edu the URL and tell me the name and number of the course HTML Editor: You can use any word processor or text editor (e.g. SimpleText, BBEdit, Wordpad or Word) to create/edit your course web pages. If you prefer you can use applications designed specifically for creating web pages, such as Netscape Communicator-Composer, or Frontpage . Basic knowledge of HTML :You should have a rudimentary knowledge of HTML to best understand and utilize this template. For example the template called course1 is comprised of nine web pages: index.html, index.htm, assignm.html, labs.html, notes.html, resource.html, schedule.html, syllabus.html, top.htm. To start working with the actual template files: 1.-Click on your appropriate platform and save the file to your hard drive. 2.-Unzip or unstuff the file that you've downloaded. 3.-Don't touch index.html and don't touch top.htm 4.-Open index.htm with an HTML editor, and start doing the modifications where it says insert text, please don't change any of the links. 5.-Insert your mail address name at professor@eecs.wsu.edu If you have any problem please contact me at msheldon@eecs.wsu.edu Thanks Maritza Sheldon
