Description:
This is a website for a Cpts 423 class project at WSU Spring 2006, in conjunction with PNNL. The purpose of the project is to add new functionality to the chemalliance.org web site using web 2.0 technology to enhance functionality and ease of use for its users.

Projects:
1) Module modifying the Google Logo to display a ChemAlliance Logo and link. This module would also enable a search of the ChemAlliance site, from the google frontpage, as well as allow the user to opt to perform a search using the engine on ChemAlliance.
2) Handbook Module – A google module that performs many of the features of the ‘handbook’ – allowing users to access modules for Hotlines, Glossary, and possible resource locating via GoogleMaps.
3) News Feed Module – A Google Module that displays the latest news from ChemAlliance using their RSS news feed. We’re still looking for ways to enhance this and make it worthwhile. Thoughts include: Abstracts on mouse hover, links to relevant case studies, and tagclouds.
4) Toolbars/Plugins for IE/FireFox to enable quick lookups of glossary terms.
5) Social Bookmarking. – Design and develop a system for social bookmarking – theoretically for ChemAlliance type information and not the latest fashion trends or rock bands…
